L’Innesto
An urban regeneration project aimed at stitching together the neighborhoods in the northern area of Milan, on one hand creating a pedestrian connection between Bicocca, Precotto, and the University, and on the other hand integrating into the green corridor that stretches from Porta Nuova to Monza Park, and from the Martesana River connecting to Parco Nord.
On the current route of Breda Street, the Gelsi Avenue will be born, a green corridor to which a community garden for residents, new vegetable gardens, and an orchard will be added.
The project buildings will host around 400 units of social housing and 300 student beds. Great value is given to the concepts of community and inclusion, with the creation of a Human Adaptive Zone consisting of spaces and services for all, such as communal kitchens, laboratories, neighborhood concierge services, and a circular economy district.
